Summer of Translations - Maenad Rite in Nederlands

Vandaag ben ik op tijd!! Maenad Rite is het vertaling van deze week, voor De Zomer van Vertalingen! Nu is het beschikbaar in het Nederlands!

Eighth entry for The Summer of Translation - my summer project where I attempt to translate as many of my projects to Dutch, releasing one a week. Back on track and back on releasing on a Sunday. AND! Finally handling this year’s Neo-Twiny :P

MelS was really happy proofreading this one, since it’s almost completely linear, with only a couple of links to keep track of. And I was really happy he liked it so much (he joked I should just write creepy things, because he thinks I’m better at it than him - which is bollocks).

Obviously a bunch of errors, though more typos than rephrasing (including mixing up oor (ears) and oog (eyes), which makes for strange visuals… like whispering sweet words in your… eyes). Again, a bunch of new familiar words popping back (like… you guessed it… liquid!), and a bit less reliance on the dictionary (not by much, but still noticeable). I don’t feel like I’m getting better at it during the translation process, but in the moments around, I’ve gotten to recognise those words (which is helping a TONS with crosswords). Win some, lose some I guess?
