Tormenting dreams...

Tower of Sleep is a short binksi prototype created for the 2023 Edition of the 2-Button Jam (where only 2 buttons can be used to play).

Use the arrows up (^) and down (v) to move the character, show the next text, or make a choice,
Note: the character will automatically be moved sideways at specific locations, please wait for the animation to be complete before pressing the arrows once more.

This was my first time using Binksi for a project (which is a mix of bipsi/bitsi and ink), and I only had basic knowledge of Ink before starting. This was a neat program to use, and I think I'll do more of those in the future :)

The code and tilesets are freely downloadable and useable :)

very nice! definitely subverted my expectations when coming into it. visually, its very pretty, im a sucker for pixel art and simple palettes. Could deffo use some music though.

i like the story, though im not sure how much i understand it, maybe thats for the best! gives me eldritch horror vibes.

Thank you!
Music was on my to-do list, but I still have no idea how to add it with this program just yet (first time using it). 😅

(I did make up the story as I went, but I'm glad it managed to get those vibes! (and now I know what kind of sound I should look into to add :P )

Beautiful palette, interesting quest with two buttons. I would like background music and sounds - the game was completely silent in my browser (Chrome).

Thank you!
It was my first time using this program (binksi), I'm still not sure how to add sound just yet 😅 but I've been looking into it :P

Just on the page it is so beautiful ! love the font !

And I played the game, and I LOVE the ambiance and the feel to it, and you worked around the 2 button limitation pretty nicely x)

Thank you <3
